"When do you think they'll be here, Jalus?" Tashi asked the older man as they sat down for their morning tea.
"The day the sun shines longer than any other," Jalus replied as his assistant poured his cup. He paused and leaned over the drink, inhaling the sweet scent of jasmine—a gift from the Grand Lotus.
"The solstice," Tashi realized. He then smiled. "That's today."
The healer nodded, his green eyes twinkling. "This will be our most important work yet."

Darkness had descended in the small town of Norbu—one of the last free villages remaining in the northwestern Earth Kingdom. The town's healer, a slim but strong elderly man named Jalus, was getting ready to turn in for the night when a sharp knock fell on his door before it opened. Azula/Katara One-Shots The Beach: Ty Lee reflects on her day at the beach and her feelings for Azula. Azula/Ty Lee Summer Haze: Two years after the war, Azula has returned home. Katara and Aang are in the Fire Nation for the semi-annual summit, but their relationship is on the rocks. Mostly Azula/Katara with some Katara/Aang. Uncalm: "Ty Lee had never seen Azula look at her that way before, but she knew the look for what it was. Blood lust."
